I want to go jogging on the beach this summer. Can anyone suggest some good waterproof sneakers for me to buy? (Preferably something I can buy in store because my shoe size is never the same – depends on the shoe. I would like to try them on first.)
Also, would it be so bad for me to jog barefoot? I know arch support is important, but I will only be jogging like that for about a month and a half – probably no more than a 4-5 times per week – mostly on the sand. Would it really hurt me much to run barefoot?
An answer to either of these questions would be helpful. Thanks

my school is having a ski trip in two weeks and I just recently found out that we are going to do alot of snow playing, and snow boots are optional. I have no water proof shoes. I only have sneakers and leather boots, which the sellsperson said is water proof and can be worn in the rain. my mom is not really keen on the idea of buying waterproof shoes, since we spent big bucks on my other ski stuff. will wearing my sneakers be a bad idea? or vice versa for the leather boots?

what types are they? sandals, sneakers, dressy, waterproof, etc? do you make sure you stock up on each before the season or do you get them as you go along and need them?

So I was wondering what people thought about wearing boat shoes like Timberland or Sperry Top-Siders for the Chicago winter…
I was able to survive last year with just my sneakers but the year before I had to wear boots… how do boat shoes fair in general?

I have puma shoes. Standard gym shoe material really. They look like these: http://www.shop.puma.com/Basket-Boo-Sneakers/pna884377888924,en,pd.html?cgid=23110
I was wondering if it is going to ruin the shoes to spray them with waterproofer? They are white and i dont know if it will change the color of them or anything.
