Hey guys, so I was wondering..
Where do you buy waterproof sprays/waterproof paints that can be used on items such as leather, shoes (airwalk shoes?), bags, even clothes? I want to buy some boots for fall but lately its been raining a lot and I don’t want to ruin a new pair (I don’t really like rain boots…they look to shiny for footware). Also are there any waterproof bags that are under ? I have a hello kitty one but it’s way to kiddish for me….
Thanks in advance!

I want my boots super waterproof but not exactly shiny…
I basically want the water to just roll off. I heard that mink oil is for leather shoes/boots that already have a finish to them. Is it a good idea for fake leather? I’m not sure what else I can use for making them waterproof. Suggestions?
I don’t know what kind of product I should use instead of mink oil. Ideas?

I got some diluted bleach on my clothes today while I was cleaning. I think it was around 25% bleach and 75% water… will that damage my clothes, and if so, how long will it take to show up?
And what about leather shoes, I got some on my leather boots too, but I cleaned them off and conditioned them immediately. They were waterproof if that makes any difference.

I’ve made myself a belt and the color is pretty matte. I know shoe polish could shine it up, but I don’t know if that would be a good thing to put on a belt.
Would it come off on my clothing?
Would it be able to keep the leather dye from coming off onto my clothing?
Should I just use a wax meant for waterproofing leather shoes?

I just got some tall leather boots, and I want to know what the best way is to waterproof them. I’m going to be walking around in the rain a lot, maybe through puddles. But I don’t want to ruin how they look either. They’re black leather.
Also, I can’t wait for them to dry — I need to be able to wear them days in a row, even if it’s raining…
Do you have experience waterproofing leather shoes? Please tell me all you can!!
Especially important– I really to know how well waterproofing will actually work. My grandma said that when she used to try to waterproof them, they always ended up getting wet and you had to let them dry before you could wear them again… but that was back in the day, so maybe things have changed.

Can I use Fed-Seal, Vulca-Seal or any other elastomeric sealant to waterproof my shoes? If not, what better product can I use to waterproof them?
I plan to apply some along the seams of the shoe inside, the seams area exposed when you remove the insoles of the shoe. By the way, these are Hush Puppies Stoneridge black nubuck leather shoes.
