Best shoes to wear around the barn?

I am having the most trouble deciding on the best shoes to buy for working around the barn. I would love to just do get a few pairs of converse but water seeps through and you get water logged!

I was going to buy a pair of Mudruckers but I’m not sure if they would look of with shorts. I want something I can wear with jeans and shorts that looks professional and decent but is waterproof and will hold up to daily chores.

Any suggestions?
I wear a size 9.5-10 shoe so I’m at another disadvantage because most shoes look like clown shoes haha!
Do you think it would look unprofessional to wear wellies if youre working at a barn?
CLO: I so agree! I personally wouldn’t care but because I am looking for a job at a barn and potentially a high class facility I just want to look presentable. You know those show people, theyre very judgemental and snoody but theyre the ones giving me the horse’s to ride so you have to "sell yourself" in a sense. :)

Are there any replacements for paint varnish?

Alright, I’ve been painting my lowtop, canvas Converse, and I’m look for a replacement for paint varnish, so the shoes will be waterproof and the paint won’t crumble as quickly.

I’ve been using acrylic paints, by the way, and I haven’t painted on thick layers.

      Can I waterproof Converse shoes?

I want to waterproof my converse. They’re those regular ones made of the canvas type material. What should i use?

      How to waterproof my Converse?

Whenever I go to concerts, I wear the same pair of converse, and if I meet any of the band members I have them sign the rubber part of my hi-tops. By now, I have some sharpie signatures and some signatures in blue pen and I want to be able to wear them without the signature wiping off. One of the signatures I got is on the toe part of the shoe in black sharpie, and its almost completely wiped off.

Is there anything that I can put on my shoes to waterproof them and make sure the pen and sharpie doesn’t wipe off?

well me and my friend are pretty good painters and we have some old converse and wanted to paint them….cuz custom one from real artist are real pricey….and i was wondering what kind of paint would stay on the shoes (waterproof) and very bold, and i kinda want it to be thick, i was told its easy to paint with thick paint…..

I have some white high top converse that I’d like to paint on and I need the paint to be waterproof and long lasting. The surface is heavy duty canvas. What are your suggestions?
