I am planning to paint on a white pair of Vans using black paint, the material of the shoes is canvas fabric i think. Problem is, i dont know what brand of paint is best.
I need paint that is waterproof and/or wont smear and is durable for everyday use. I’ll be actually wearing the shoes when im done lol.

I am at college and I need some boots for when it starts snowing and I am walking across campus. I don’t really like the big and bulky boots and I definitely am not an ugg person.
Does anyone think these are waterproof? http://www.roxy.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3537402
or these and do you like them?

I need some more options, and believe me it is getting cold, and snow showers are in the forecast. Thanks!
I’ve bought several pairs of shoes in the last year. This is a new problem for me. I bought a pair of tennis shoes for 12 dollars. After about 3 weeks, the bottoms tore open in a split that made my feet wet when I was walking on wet roads. Then, I bought a pair waterproof "hikers" for 20 dollars, the interior heels fell down after about a week, so I got some duct tape and filled the space inside the heels with that until it felt normal. After about another week, the heels on both shoes split wide open, just from walking and these were ‘hikers!’ I found a pair of hospital shoes at the local thrift shop for 4 dollars and bought those. I also have a pair of dress shoes I bought for 50 cents at a yard sale. These are the only shoes I currently have that don’t have cracks or holes in them.
Does anyone make a decent pair of shoes anymore?
I did a design on my converse shoes and I want to know if theyll get ruined if I get them wet by accident, I’ve already put on a spray to keep them ‘waterproof’ but i just tested them and sprayed a bit of water on them and it seems like it might smear, I too scared to fully dunk them in water since they’re my first pair.
If it helps these are my shoes http://greyradian.deviantart.com/art/Gamer-Shoez-150833267
Just moved to SoCal and I’ve been really wanting to go running on the beach. I see glass occasionally and I don’t want to cut my feet by running barefoot. Does anybody know of waterproof running shoes?

I’m going with my school, seventh grade.
These shoes:http://s.onlineshoes.com/images/br038/165757_366_45.jpg
Pros: My feet won’t get hot, waterproof, comfy
Cons: Some rides won’t let you wear open toe shoes, but these are only partially…
Or these shoes:http://www.popculturebuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/585419.jpg
Pros: Might be able to walk around easier, not restricted to certain rides
Cons: My feet will most likely get hot, when they get wet they stay wet, gets uncomfortable after a while
…or both? Bring both shoes and rent a locker for ,put the ones I’m not using in there, when I’m done I get back.
I start a new job at Petsmart tomorrow being a bather. I asked my manager what the dress code was and she said just a tshirt, waterproof shoes, and waterproof pants. So I am just going to wear windbreaker pants and some Crocs. Do you think this is ok for a uniform?
I’m planning a portaging trip to Algonquin Park and I was thinking of getting a pair or combat boots to wear on the trails. Most likely one of these:

http://www.armynavydeals.ca/asp/products_details.asp?SKU=CANCBU1&ST=2&Canadian%20Combat%20Boot%20Mk5%20
I decided to get combat boots after my last week long trip of portaging where I did ALOT of walking in regular hiking shoes/boots and spent most of my time with wet shoes, socks and of course feet. I got the idea from old pictures of rangers and explorers wearing big army looking boots on trails, so I thought that must say something about the reliability of these boots.
But what I wanted to know is just how waterproof are combats boots? I’m not planning on walking through waist deep rivers or anything but I will be walking though lots of mud and shallow streams. On the event that I do step into a knee deep pond, how well would combat boots hold up in keeping water out? Of course I don’t expect them to be 100% waterproof either, so when wet do they dry fairly quickly? How well overall would combat boots do on a portaging trip?
** Also, I’m on a tight budget and combat boots are fairly cheap compared to heavy duty hiking shoes/boots.
I am a guy, and I am interested in buying the "Authentic Original" sperrys. I will use them for the summer, just for casual wear, and I don’t sail at all lol. The problem is, in my school, only girls wear boat shoes, and guys just wear Jordans or something. Would they look right on a guy? What should I wear them with? Here they are: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EP8LV6?ie=UTF8&tag=bighand-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000EP8LV6
It’s is POURING outside and there are huge puddles everywhere! I don’t want to go out, but I have to. Are all Sperry’s waterproof. When I bought them, the box said something about "wet". When I googled to see if they were waterproof, I didn’t find the answer I was looking for. I know they are boat shoes. So, can they get wet without messing up?
